Religious Education
Jesus is the corner stone upon which our Church is built. Religious Education is the foundation upon which our community is built. We at Corpus Christi - St. Bernard Parish hold the Religious Education of our children and youth as one of our most important ministries.
Pre-K through 6th grade students are instructed in the basics of our Catholic Christian Faith. Our 7th and 8th graders are instructed in more detail about the life of Jesus and the workings and ministries of the Church. The textbooks we use are by Sadlier Publishing, a world renowned Catholic publisher of children's faith based books for use in school and parish settings.
Our Confirmation Program is designed for the 9th and 10th graders to begin to incorporate the lessons they have learned in a more substantial and concrete way. The first-year Confirmation students explore the topic of morality and how it affects us in so many aspects of our lives. The second-year Confirmation students explore the sacrament of Confirmation and how it is not the end of Religious Education but the beginning of a more fulfilled life in Christ.

All Religious Education classes are taught by volunteers from our parish community. Volunteers are given detailed teacher manuals with opportunities for more extensive faith education. We maintain a large library of texts, workbooks, supplemental teaching tools and videos as well as the support of the pastor and a very well trained parish staff.
