Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic Community in the United States. Their programs of outreach bring food and medicine, education and other relief services to communities throughout the world. CRS responds to crises such as floods, hurricane, political upheaval and famine. Ongoing efforts throughout the year at the parish level, such as Operation Rice Bowl, offers opportunities for all parishioners, young and old, to sacrifice monetarily throughout the Lenten Season and offers those funds to those poorer populations in the world in need of food and medical supplies.
