Protecting God's Children

On Wednesday evening, September 10th at 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on Saturday, October 18th at 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM the VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children 4.0 training will be offered at the Parish Center located at 1524 Washington Street. This program, published in 2022, has been updated from the original program published in 2002 to incorporate issues related to the use of the Internet and present-day approaches to child sexual abuse. The updated version, which emphasizes prevention, focuses on awareness of signs and symptoms, learning ways to detect abuse and abusers and knowing what to do if you suspect abuse.

All parishioners engaged in any form of Lay Ministry are required to participate in this program. If you are a lay minister and have never attended PGC, please register for one of the two upcoming sessions. If you have participated in an earlier program prior to 2015, the Archdiocese strongly encourages you to attend the current Version 4.0.
